Academic Acknowledgements
Academic Records Awards:
> The Autonoma University of Madrid rewards those students who achieve the best 100 marks on the university entrance examinations (P.A.U.). This year the awards were obtained by 56 women and 44 men, with marks ranging between 9.44 and 9.939. Our student, Sonia Herrero Álvarez, was one of the recipients.
Maths Awards:
> Spanish Mathematics Olympics: Raúl González Molina 4th ESO B classified amongst the best 9 of Madrid and won a bronze medal in the Pamplona final, competing against other Baccalaureate students.
> Spring Mathematics Competition: Raúl González Molina 4th ESO B was one of the 150 winning students amongst more than 3000 participants.
> Alcobendas Gymkhana: Overall winners, Brains School, awarded with a digital blackboard for the school.
Autónoma University Secondary School Awards:
“The Little Mathematicians” – Raúl González Molina 4th ESO B, Alvaro Peña Pastor 3rd ESO B and Francisco Ribas Alameda 3rd ESO B won the first prize, 500€ each and books for our school, with their project on the Pythagorean Theorem.
Puig Adam Contest:
> Raúl González Molina 4th ESO B third place in his category and Marta Penche Alonso 1st Baccalaureate A was a close runner-up.
Finally, we are proud to announce the success of one of our brightest ex-students, Don Salvatore Simón Del Giudice Villena, who has been presented with:
> Award to the best Academic Record of his year group and Award to the best Academic Record of his specialisation, Aircrafts, of the LXV graduating class of Aeronautical Engineers (received from Miguel Angel Martorell Fuentes, director of the Aeronautica Military firm).
