School Services:
Food and Health. Healthy Eating Habits
In our classrooms, by taking part in sports, teaching healthy habits and the Values Programme, we instill in our students an awareness of the importance of certain healthy habits for a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, by applying the School Rules we pass on these values outside the classrooms and throughout the rest of the Brains Schools.
We take great care to assure the quality and careful preparation of our meals. All our centers offer complete and varied lunch menus which have been recommended by our doctor, and are appropriate for each age group and for the correct development of our students.
The Kitchen in La Moraleja
In Primary there are teachers who monitor the dining rooms, encouraging the children to eat, while maintaining order and good eating habits. In Secondary our dining room is self-service, offering the students a choice of two menus. Both in Primary and in Secondary, the menu is sent to the parents every month or every three months.
Given the emphasis on sports in our schools, our students are required to have had a thorough medical check-up, including an electrocardiogram before enrolling in our centers and throughout the school year there is a doctor available in each center every day.
Moreover, our students have a medical check-up every year, which is carried out at each centre, with the results then sent to the parents. The centers are also fully insured against any accidents which may occur on the school grounds.
