Secondary Education
Secondary Education in Brains is the stage where we help our students reach a level of maturity that allows them to become aware of the importance of their academic and personal training.
Maturity and responsibility
Adolescence is a period of many changes where we focus on accompanying, communicating and understanding the student. We consider this is essential in order to believe in themselves, to become aware of the value of effort, to begin to make important decisions and to set the basis for the professional future they wish for.
School years in Secondary Education
During the four years of Secondary Education, our students perfect their language skills, practice daily sport, programme, create, design, participate and learn through experience. All this leads to personal growth, improvement and an integral development which are key to complete this stage with the best results.
Secondary 1 and 2 (ages 12-14)
Our students take on a new stage where they continue applying all the strategies learnt in previous years. We provide an extensive training programme based on humanistic, artistic, scientific and technological elements, focusing on teamwork, critical thinking, training maker students and values education.</span>
Secondary 3 and 4 (ages 14-16)
In the final two years of compulsory education, our students complete their integral training. They perfect their teamwork skills, study habits and personal work, as well as achieving certain skills aimed at self-assessment, reflection and deciding about higher education.
Student Council
In our school, the students’ voice and opinion are taken very seriously. Our students prove to us every day that they are able to solve their personal conflicts through creativity, good judgement and decisiveness. This is why the Student Council was created, an opportunity for them to develop skills such as leadership and understand firsthand the essence of democracy and responsibility.
The Council is an entity formed by Secondary, International and National Baccalaureate students which sets its own purposes, objectives, actions plans and awareness campaigns. It works hand in hand with the rest of the student body and Management team in order to identify possible measures to improve coexistence in our school.
